Cary

Cary is the second largest town in Wake County with a population of approximately 175,000. No longer the sleepy railroad town in the mid 1800’s, Cary's population has exploded along with the growth in the neighboring Research Triangle. It is now home to major tech and manufacturing companies, including Epic Games and the SAS Institute, the largest privately held software company in the world.

Cary is known for excellent schools, a high median income, low crime rate, excellent dining and numerous parks and greenways. Shortly after Planned Urban Development (PUD) zoning was instituted in 1971, the 967 acre Kildaire Farms development became North Carolina’s first PUD. Cary is conveniently located to Raleigh, Durham Chapel Hill and RDU Airport.

Preston (Prestonwood Country Club) – One of the most prestigious subdivisions in Cary. This luxury 54 hole golf community offers some of the best golf in Wake County.

Copperleaf – Custom built homes starting in the high six digits and adjacent to the popular American Tobacco Trail greenway.

Lochmere – Very popular early Cary community with lakes and golf. Very convenient to excellent shopping at Waverly Place.

MacGregor Downs – Prestigious golf community built around a community lake, with easy access to great shopping.

Cary Park – Mix of single-family homes, townhomes and condos with excellent amenities, including a 28 acre lake and walking trails.

Amberly – Beautiful 1100 acre planned community with 2500+ homes in West Cary.
